Dog Boarding

We are a small Boutique Kennell so your baby will become a part of our Fur family and we will soon learn thier likes/dislikes, get to know thier personality. We pride ourselves on knowing all our babies personally they are not just a number to us they are all individual and special.

Paws a While is run and owned by a veterinary nurse that has always been a dog lover.

 Separate Outdoor Runs
As well as a generous inside area, each room has it's own 9 meter long grass-surface run. This is the key to removing stress from the boarding experience for dogs.  Your dog will have access to thier outside area at all times so they don't feel cooped up, and they don't have to hold on for the toilet for hours on end. They can lay in the shade or the sun or inside on their trampoline bed, whichever they prefer.  If your dog is super active we can pair them next to a fellow active kid and they can run to thier hearts content. If your baby is more of a lounge lizard we can put them next to a fellow relaxed baby so they can say hi or have thier own space inside. If your dog isnt the friendliest with other dogs they can minimal  neigbours/vision with other dogs.
 

Quality Food
We use only the highest quality Royal Canin dog food, or you can to provide your dogs food. We feed all our dogs twice a day so you can bring dry food in a large container or in individual meal sizes. Wet or frozen meals must be provided in individual meal portions.
 

Medications
If your dog needs pills, a cream or ointment, ear drops, eye drops or even insulin injections,
our experienced team administers all doses as directed. This does incur a fee  

Toys
We have a range of durable chew toys, soft toys, balls and rope toys to amuse and challenge your dog. Or you can bring toys from home.

Treats

You are welcome to bring treats or you can purchase a greenie, pigs ear or treat for your dog

Flea, Tick, Worming and Heartworm Treatments

We have heartworm and Paralysis ticks in this area. Your dog/dogs needs to be treated prior to arrival for fleas, ticks, worming and heartworm. If we see fleas or your dog looks worm infested we will treat them and you will be charged for the treatment that is applied.

Love
No kidding. We love dogs. Granted, not all dogs like all people, but if your dog likes lots of
cuddles, pats, and general affection, don't worry we've got it covered and then some.

 Vaccinations  

We can only board dogs that are up to date with thier C5 vaccination. It has to be given at least 2 weeks prior to boarding. This Vaccination needs to be done every 12 months.

If your vaccinations are already the correct level, but they're due just before you need to board, please call or email and discuss.

 Rural Setting

Paws a While Boarding Kennels is set on 23 acres yet we are so close to Newcastle, Maitland, Beresfield, Raymond Terrace.
